Background information / Compatibility requirements
Details
The QWildlife system is used to collect and manage data on sightings of Crocodiles, Cassowaries, Koalas, and Stranded Marine Animals.

Sightings are reported by members of the public using Esri Survey123 forms (delivered via an app or web browser) or via phone or email. Received data on sighting locations is validated, investigated and made available to the public via several public dashboards. Data is stored in a Relational Database Management System database (The Spatial Information Resource Real Time Edit database), hosted on Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development’s on Spatial Information Resource (SIR) infrastructure; and accessed via Wildlife Operations web portals utilising ArcGIS webservices to transfer data from storage.

The Spatial Information Resource (SIR) is the key platform for managing, storing and delivering 'authoritative point-of-truth' spatial information for the department and other agencies. SIR is databases, data portals, web services that enable access, analysis, maintenance, applications, web maps.

The system is also used to log and manage workflows for tasks and decisions arising from the sighting report received.

Question:
Hello,

Can we please verify that DRAFT CONTRACT TEMPLATE – ITPC20251501_QWildlife_System_Support__Maintenance_(1) needs to be completed and submitted? Or is this a document that can be completed upon negotiations or prior to contract start date?

Also, should responses to Schedule A (in particular 2.8-2.12. 2.15-2.16, and 2.19) be supplied in-line on the RFQ, or as an appendix?

Thank you

Answered on 15/Apr/2025 03:14 PM:

Suppliers are to complete the draft QITC as part of their response. Suppliers must also complete section 2.18 Contract Compliance of the RFQ Document.

Suppliers can reference attachments/appendices as required in their response. Please ensure page limits are met.

Question:
As part of our preparation for the tender, I wanted to ask whether it would be possible to obtain access to the current system or a demonstration environment.

Access or visibility into the platform would help us better understand its workflows and integration points, enabling us to provide a more accurate and informed response aligned with your expectations. Please let me know if this can be arranged or if there is any additional information or documentation available regarding the system's technical environment.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.
