Kempsey Shire is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, which boasts around 15,000 hectares of national parks and 79 kilometres of pristine coastline, supporting an amazing variety of plants and wildlife. Situated on the banks of the Macleay river is our main town, Kempsey. This is a thriving regional centre with a rich indigenous heritage and has the largest residential population in the shire. It is home to key services and resources for our Shire and to Council’s headquarters.

- Establish a compliant panel / standing offer arrangement for the supply

and installation of road safety barrier systems.

- Obtain competitive schedule of rates pricing and clear contract terms

to support value for money and transparent purchasing.

- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with applicable road safety

barrier standards, manufacturer requirements, WHS obligations and

Council specifications.

- Support efficient engagement of contractors through purchase order

call-off arrangements under the panel.

Council’s current panel arrangement for the supply and installation of road safety barrier systems is approaching expiry. This procurement seeks to establish a new panel / standing offer arrangement with suitably qualified and experienced contractors to supply and install compliant road safety barrier systems across the Kempsey Shire Local Government Area. The arrangement will support planned, reactive and capital works requirements by providing access to pre-qualified contractors under agreed terms, rates and performance expectations.
