Details
Racing Queensland (RQ) is seeking offers from suitably experienced suppliers for the demolition of existing and installation of new running rail a t multiple clubs. The successful supplier will be engaged under RQs Works Agreement terms and conditions to complete the works.
Background information / Compatibility requirements
Details
This project aims to find suitably experienced suppliers for the demolition and subsequent installation of new running rail at seven ( 7) clubs, including:
• Betoota Race Club;
• Monto Race Club;
• Warra Race Club;
• Herbert River Jockey Club;
• Tara Race Club;
• Aramac Race Club; and
• Quilpie Diggers’ Race Club.
Please note that the materials have already been sourced and this project seeks to engage a supplier or suppliers for the demolition and installation (ONLY).

- How many "Rails" are to be installed?
- What length rolls of "Rail" are being supplied?
- What system is being used to join "Rails", Wire vise joiners or Swages?
- What size PVC EnduraPosts, what is their finished height (Top) above ground?

Please see below questions & answers:
Q1A: For all sites, when does the work have to be completed by?
A1A: All works at each site must be completed by 15 June 2026.
Regarding 2.7 Aramac Racing Club:
Q1B: How many ""rails"" are to be installed?
A1B: This product is not cut into traditional “rails”, but will make up 2000m of the outside running rail on course. Please refer to 4. Installation Guides with regards to spacing of the posts.
Q1C: What length rolls of ""rail"" are being supplied?
A1C: Roll lengths are 100m. 2 packs of 10 rolls will be provided.
Q1D: What system is being used to join ""rails"", wire vs joiners or Swages?
A1D: Metal joiners will be used.
Q1E: What size PVC EnduraPosts, what is their finished height (top) above ground?"
A1E: The posts are 42mmx42mm and 1.8m high. Finishing height above ground should be 1.2m, with fixings installed so rail runs flush with top of post.

Q2: Are you supplying material or are we supplying materials for the projects?
A2: All fencing and rail materials will be supplied as well as installation kits for Simtrack and Barriers Australia product as per attached installation guide for products. No custom installation kit will be provided for Aramac.
