**Please note: only new suppliers, not currently on the 2025/26 Register of Pre-qualified Suppliers for Hire of Plant and Operator need to respond to this EOI.

Goondiwindi Regional Council (GRC) is inviting fixed priced submissions for Expressions of Interest (EOI) 2627-01 from suitably qualified, experienced and resourced CONTRACTORS THAT RESIDE OR HAVE A REGISTERED PLACE OF BUSINESS WITHIN THE GRC LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA for inclusion on an approved contractor list for the intermittent hire of plant for an initial period of one (1) year (from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027), with the option of one (1) further extension of one (1) year at Council’s sole discretion. Price basis shall be at a fixed price for the initial one (1) year period and the twelve (12) month option period thereafter. Approximately one (1) month prior to the expiration of each twelve (12) month period, an updated 3b Schedule of Rates A & B will be sought by GRC from the Supplier. If a response is not received by the closing date, the prices submitted for the previous twelve (12) month period will be applied.

Although successful suppliers may remain on the register of pre-qualified suppliers for hire of plant and operator for up to two (2) years, Council will still continue to call for Expressions of Interest for new Suppliers, not already on the register, to be added to the register, annually.

From this register, plant will be ordered by GRC on a needs basis throughout the contract period.

Hi,

I have two questions:

1. Is this tender for wet hire only? (plant with operator on an hourly rate) or does it include the dry hire of equipment?

2. If we do not reside or have a business location within the LGA, are we excluded from the tender consideration?

1. Yes, this EOI is for wet hire only. Please feel free to send any capability statements or information about dry hire to our main generic email address: mail@grc.qld.gov.au and this will be passed on to the appropriate departments and people.

2. Yes, any EOI's received from suppliers who do not reside or have a business location within the LGA will be considered non-conforming and will be excluded from the process.

Council will consider EOI submissions for plant items: stabilisers and spreaders, from local suppliers whose places of business and/or residency are within the Goondiwindi LGA. These plant items can be entered into the Part 3b spreadsheet under "Other Plant"
