Details
The City of Busselton (the City or the Principal) is inviting Tenders by a suitable contractor to perform coastal adaptation works including refurbishment of rock revetments and sand nourishment at the Vincent Street Foreshore and Bayview Crescent Foreshore in Dunsborough.

The Works form part of the City’s short-term coastal adaptation program, to strengthen local coastal resilience and help safeguard nearby homes, public infrastructure and the surrounding natural environment.

Question:
Good afternoon,

I would like to raise the following questions onm these works:

1. Regarding the Provisional Sum required for the Reinstate Beach Access Structures, usually the Client issues the contractor sums of money to put against Provisonal Sum items to make the tendering process fair for all contractors. Please can you issue costs for these items or provide more clarity on this like what type of structures you are requiring?

2. Beach Sand Supply - Due to the size of the beach sand required, are we to assume all the sand quantity is to be taken from other beaches and if so what beaches can we take them from so we can work our trucking and excavation costs.

1. Beach Access Structures: Contractors are required to price the beach access stair reinstatement. A typical drawing for the beach access stairs is included in the provided set, and an inspection of the existing structures should provide sufficient detail for pricing.

2. Beach Sand Supply: Contractors should assume that all locally sourced sand will be provided from the site identified in the tender (Quindalup).

'Allow for 1.4m high post and wire fencing, using 4 runs of 4mm Bayco Sighter Wire with Pine posts, max spacing 4m apart.'
