Question
:
Hi
We have several queries as follows:
1. In reference to Scheduled Items 40721.10, 40721.11 and 40721.21 on the provided Schedule M1 where the binder class had not been specified, can TMR please advise the binder class to be adopted for tendering for consistency? The provided Annexure MRTS.11.1 specifies that the binder class is to be confirmed by the Seal Designer, and this may lead to inconsistency in submitted tenders. Furthermore, a Seal Designer is usually only engaged on successful tender.
2. In reference to Scheduled Item “52105.10 Barrier line (BL1), one direction, 100 mm wide each line, 100 mm lateral gap between lines, 3000 mm line length and 9000 mm gap length on broken side, colour [colour], material [material]” on the provided Schedule M1, can TMR please confirm the required colour and material for this item?
Thanks

Question
:
Can TMR please advise as to whether it plans to introduce any cost relief mechanisms to the contract with respect to the ongoing geopolitical instability in the Middle East and the associated volatility in oil and fuel markets e.g reducing the duration listed under Clause 5.3 Other adjustments of Annexure B to GCoC to 90 days, introducing an equivalent Annexure D and E to what was introduced during the COVID epidemic etc

Question
:
RFI-01
Can you please provide a response to our following queries:
1. Drawings 950396 & 950415 indicate that extensions are required to the existing culverts, however no items have been included in the pricing schedule for these activities. Please confirm if these are required as part of the works and update the pricing schedule accordingly. We would also like to highlight that we are seeing lead times greater than 16 weeks for these items and suggest that they may be best free issued by TMR to enable early procurement.
2. Can you please confirm the submission date as C7822 Conditions of Tendering Section 4B indicates closing date 23 April @ 2pm and eTender submission site is showing closing date as 21 April @ 2pm

Question
:
Hi
We have a further query as follows.
The provided drawings 950360 Rev B and 950361 Rev B shows the Typical Cross Sections at the various locations throughout the scope of the project. For areas where Typical Cross Sections C (FILL), D (NEAR GRADE EMBANKMENT) and E (EMBANKMENT) applies, can TMR please confirm if it will be required to remove the existing Seal prior to placement of the new material i.e. Unbound Pavement or Embankment? If required, can TMR please advise under which item should this work be priced or if there will be an item introduced for this work?
Thanks

Question
:
RFI-02
Can you please provide a response to our following queries:
1. Please advise if pulverisation is required for Typical Cross Sections A & B or if the total area of 22,884m2 of pulverisation for Items 45009.10, 45009.11, 45009.12 is incorrect.
• The construction sequence for Typical Cross Section A & B indicates no requirement for pulverisation of existing material
• All typical cross Sections indicate a requirement for stabilisation using triple blend
• The total area of pulverisation for areas in triple blend (Items 45009.10, 45009.11, 45009.12 = 22,884m2) is equal to the area of insitu stab with triple blend (Item 45014.10 = 22,884m2)
2. Please advise the specific reference to [location] for Item 45009.11
3. Please confirm quantity for Water Curing [Subbase] (Item 45016.11 = 18,742.92 m2), as it is not equal to the area for subbase stabilisation (Item 45014.10 = 22,884 m2)
4. Please provide updated split for supply of triple blend (Items 45015.10, 45015.11)
a. Item 45015.10 is for both the subbase and lower subbase – 162.33t
b. Item 45015.11 is for the subbase – 395.24t
c. The assumption is that Item 45015.10 should be for lower subbase only and that Item 45015.11 should be for subbase only
