Package 7 - Could BSC please allow tenderers to Price a single Preliminaries / Indirect Job (Items A1, A2, A3 & A4) cost to cover all roads rather than an individual Preliminaries / Indirect job cost items for each road? I.e. Items A1, A2, A3 & A4 to be priced as 1 section for all roads (10 individual pay items instead of 80 pay items (10 x 8 roads)).

Splitting costs for Traffic, Survey, Site Facilities, Environmental Management individually for 8 roads is not practical and creates unnecessary administration.

A single Preliminaries / Indirect Job (Items A1, A2, A3 & A4) cost to cover all roads rather than an individual Preliminaries / Indirect job cost items for each road will not be accepted.

If the contractor is unable to price indirect items for each road BSC will accept these items to be incorporated into the reconstruction treatment price for each road. If this is done it expected that contractor will confirm that this has been done and that all price allowances that relate to complying with provision for traffic, survey, contractors site facilities and camp and environmental management have been included.

Question:

In the Request for Tender Document “Part 2 – General Information, Item 6” it states that the Tenders should not be longer than 15 pages (including all attachment, annexures, supplements, parts, schedules or appendices). However, in the Response Schedules it requests several attachments to be provided which will then exceed the 15 page limit. Can you please clarify.

It is understood that some tender responses will exceed the 15 page limit. Please submit tender responses limited to 200 pages.
