This request for quote is for the management of restricted invasive and locally declared plants along state-controlled roads within the Mackay Regional Council (MRC) Local Government Area (LGA) during the 2026/2027 Financial Year.

The scope of works includes the control of 'restricted invasive' and 'locally declared' plants within the Mackay Regional Council Local Government Areas, which are defined and managed as per the Department of Transport and Main Roads’ Maintenance Preservation and Operation (MPO) Element 5 Invasive Plants and Animals framework.

In this instance:

• “restricted invasive” refers to restricted invasive plants listed under the Biosecurity Act 2014.

• "locally declared" refers to locally declared plants listed under the current version of the local council Biosecurity Plan
