Seqwater is the Queensland Bulk Water Supply Authority responsible for delivering safe, secure and cost-effective bulk water supply for more than three million people across South East Queensland. We also:

* provide essential flood mitigation services
* manage catchment health and offer community recreation facilities
* provide water for irrigation to about 1,200 farmers across seven water supply schemes.

Seqwater is one of the largest water businesses with the most geographically spread and diverse asset base of any capital city water authority. Our operations extend from the New South Wales border to the base of the Toowoomba ranges.

Seqwater is seeking to engage a qualified and experienced contractor to carry out design and construct (D&C) works for the Mudgeeraba (TMU) Water Treatment Plant (WTP) on the Gold Coast. The Scope of Works (SOW) includes electrical, mechanical, and construction tasks and consists of five (5) projects to be delivered as Separable Portions. All five (5) Separable Portions will have the same completion date of 13 February 2029. Each project focuses on the renewal and remediation of assets at the TMU WTP, addressing concerns such as asset condition, operability, electrical safety risks, and arc flash hazards. The work included in this package will ensure the TMU WTP continues to meet current and future water supply demands while operating safely and reliably.

The D&C services will involve conducting investigations, reviews, option analysis, assessments, calculations, reviews of specifications, and drawings (both site-specific and typical), along with the construction or installation work and necessary certifications for each asset type.

Please note that the appendices referenced in the SOW will be released as part of the RFT.

Seqwater has an ongoing obligation to refurbish existing equipment and install new equipment to meet operational needs. This includes ensuring safe equipment operation, maintaining power system capacity, and ensuring reliable performance to meet the facility’s future power supply requirements. Failure to remediate and replace the electrical assets at TMU WTP could lead to increased deterioration, decreased capacity, environmental and water quality risks.
