What the buyer is requesting
Details
Council (the Principal) is seeking tender responses from qualified tenderers for the construction of Narrandera Urban Stormwater Upgrade project and associated works to address flooding problems within Narrandera Township.

The basic Scope of Works involves the construction of approximately 1,300m of Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts (RCBC), pits and associated pipework to intercept flows in Bolton Street (between Charles and Willans Streets) and transfer them to the existing stormwater basin (located between Larmer Street and the Main Irrigation Canal). A detailed scope of works is provided in Volume 3 – Statement of Requirements.

The successful tenderer shall provide all materials, equipment, operators, labourers, traffic control plans, project site compound, including coordination with all authorities (utility providers, other private and government agencies), approvals, and all applicable fees to carry out the Works. The successful tenderer shall also allow for the disposal and carting of all construction waste materials and all excess dirt to the landfill or other nominated location.

Question:
After reviewing the documents, I understand there is a mandatory site meeting, but I cannot find a contact person for the tender.

Can you please advise if we need to register for site meeting on 17/9/26? And to whom?

Thanks for the enquiry.

It is not necessary to register for the mandatory site meeting beforehand. A registration sheet will be circulated at the start of the actual site meeting for attendees to populate.

Due to the size of the scope We would like to request a two week extension to the closing date to allow for adequate time to complete a fully informed submission after the pre tender meeting?

Thank you for the enquiry

Whilst we appreciate the complexity of the project, the original 6-week timeframe is considered appropriate. Any variation would result in the tender determination being delayed potentially until February 2027, which is not acceptable to council.

It is also noted that only the companies that attended the mandatory site meeting held yesterday can submit a tender and we thank all who attended.

Question:
The pricing schedule appears to have GST incl/excl listed the wrong way around.

The top of column states prices are inclusive of GST, then totals these as inclusive of GST. It then lists GST at the end after the total, followed by a total excluding GST.

This would make more sense if reversed, with all prices listed exclusive of GST, GST added, and then the total with GST included at the end.

Could you please clarify if this is correct, and advise how tenderers are to address this when submitting the tendered prices.

Please maintain the current structure/ format of the pricing schedule but with the amendments made in REV2 to correct errors in the equations in cells H34 and H35. Refer the revised Pricing Schedule attached with these two cells highlighted and the corrections made.
