Can council please clarify Schedule 3. The introductory sentence states that Rates must be fully inclusive of labour and other oncosts, however the Schedule also has separate labour rate line items.

Can Council please confirm whether plant and equipment rates are to cover the plant item and operating costs only, with operator labour charged separately under the applicable labour rate?

An updated Schedule 3 has now been issued as an addendum and now includes the relevant items logwood processing and transportation and make, model capacity for proposed plant and equipment.

Question:
Thank you for issuing the updated Schedule 3. However Schedule 3 is still prefaced with the statement: rates must be fully inclusive of all oncosts, including labour.

Can Council please confirm whether:

A. each Plant Item rate is to include the operator,

OR

B. the rate should cover the plant item and its operating costs only, with operator time charged separately under the applicable labour rate?

Could Council please confirm the required disposal locations and/or nominated stockpile locations for all logwood and mulch generated as part of the Bushfire Hazard Tree Removal works? Additionally, could you please confirm whether all generated mulch is required to be removed from site, or whether mulch may be retained or dispersed at nominated locations within the works area at Council’s direction.

• Retention of logwood on roadsides for habitat is likely priority. Firewood processing likely minimal: 5-10% of total trees removed.

• Some mulch will be retained on site, the remainder to be transported to a site in either Castlemaine, Harcourt or Barkers Creek as directed.

Question:
Could Council please confirm the nominated disposal and/or stockpile locations for all logwood and mulch generated through the Bushfire Hazard Tree Removal works?

Could Council also please clarify whether all generated mulch is required to be removed from each work site, or whether mulch may, at Council’s direction, be retained, dispersed or stockpiled at nominated locations within the works area?
