Question:
Pricing Schedule 1C Item 7.04 Provisional Items asks for a rate for working nights.

Without knowing what works could potentially proceed at night it is difficult to price a rate. Asphalt crew rate for nights will vary greatly from the civil crew night rate.

Can Council please clarify what night works would be intended on this contract.

Item 7.04 should be associated with the asphalting stage of works, for the purpose of avoiding access disruption to businesses.

What are the traffic management restrictions for this project?

Is access through the intersection via Trewin St, Caravan St & Grandlee Dr required to be maintained for the duration of the works? Or can these be closed provided access to Villiers Dr is maintained?

Tenderers are referred to Clause 100.4(a) – Access to Site (Provision for Traffic) of the Technical Specification.

In accordance with Clause 100.4(a):

The Contractor must provide access to local traffic but may close the road to through traffic.

Any proposed road closures must be managed in accordance with the Contract requirements, including advising all emergency services and public transport companies of closures.

Traffic management arrangements are to be implemented in accordance with the Technical Specification and are subject to approval by the Superintendent.

Tenderers should allow for traffic management measures consistent with the requirements of Clause 100.4(a) when preparing their submissions.
