Background information / Compatibility requirements
Details
Energy Queensland Limited (EQL) is the group of electricity distribution, retail and energy services businesses 100% owned by the state of Queensland, formed in June 2016. As a Government Owned Corporation, EQL delivers electricity across Queensland through our ‘poles and wires’ businesses, Energex and Ergon Energy Network, energising Queensland communities from the Tweed River to Torres Strait and from Brisbane across to Birdsville. Energex and Ergon Energy Network are regulated electricity distribution network service providers (DNSPs) in the National Electricity Market. Our retailer, Ergon Energy Retail sells this electricity to customers throughout regional Queensland. These essential service activities are also supported by a range of innovative products and services delivered through our Yurika brand.

The current Distribution Meter to Cash systems manage all Energex and Ergon Network market interactions as separate instances for each distribution business. Including revenue generation processing of $4.7 billion per annum in network billing.

The Distribution Meter to Cash systems are heavily integrated into the EQL environment to enable value streams across the organisation.
