The Customer is committed to advancing the economic, environmental and social objectives of the Queensland Government, including, maximising Queensland suppliers’ opportunities to participate in government business, supporting regional and remote economies, and doing business with ethically, environmentally and socially responsible suppliers.

For clarity, in this context advocacy is taken to mean:

• supporting students with a disability and/or their families to engage constructively with a school to seek resolution of complex or protracted issues;

• promoting collaborative problem-solving between students, their families and the school;

• assisting students/families to understand Queensland state school processes; and

• assisting students and their families to express their views, experiences and preferences in matters affecting their education.
