Details
Racing Queensland (RQ) is seeking offers from suitably experienced Suppliers for the provision of Design and Construction of Machinery Shed in Cairns Jockey Club.

The successful Tenderer will be engaged via Racing Queensland’s Design and Works agreement to complete the works.

Hi,

Q: What is the exact power requirement — is it limited to what’s outlined in the scope of works, or is there requirement for future expansion?

A: Due to budget restrictions, the basic electrical requirements stated in the Scope is all that is currently requested. Future expansion shall be the club’s responsibility outside of this project.

Q: Is there sufficient power capacity at the existing supply locations?

A: The club has previously advised that the existing power to the irrigation tanks and pumps will be able to supply the shed. The original power to the existing shed can also be re-directed. These power capacities are required to be confirmed by vendors.

HI,

No As-Builts available however inspection and advice suggest the following;

• 100amp supply to the pole

• 415volt

• Currently fused at 80 amps.

Question:
Where are the downpipes to be discharged? Existing shed has splash pads, are we allowing for this as well ?, or stormwater to discharge into existing water tanks for irrigation? No underground infrastructure shown on Cairns Mapping

Hi,

As per the scope, stormwater is to be 'diverted to collection points in accordance with local council requirements'

This means that if discharge to ground via splash pads is permissible under council standards, that will be acceptable. Alternatively, discharge may be directed to an appropriate location.

It will be the contractor’s responsibility to confirm the compliant discharge method with the relevant authority.
