Hi Can you please update the co-ordinates for packages DM02956, DM02957 Oswalds road within package.

Hi,

Could you please clarify that you are asking this question on the right tender? It might be more aligned with our Flood Recovery Works.

Thank you.

Question:
Hi Council,

Can you please clarify the following for us:

- Works state that we need to Remove the Top 200mm Layer of the Existing Road and Stockpile for re-use.

- We then need to remove an additional 200mm to achieve a Sub-grade Level

- Once this is completed, we are then loading, placing & compacting the existing stockpiled material back down and then stabilizing this material.

Is there any reason why we cannot leave the bottom 200mm layer in the ground and then stabilise this? This will save a lot of time & cost with the extra excavation & the double handling of materials.

If you can please confirm either way that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Answered on 06/Oct/2025 10:16 AM:

The design and proposed method was selected due to the uncertainty of the material under the road in both composition and quality.

The proposed method as requested is the base expectations for design and install.

Council has no issue with receiving an alternative installation method, and we have included section 12.3 for variations or alterations to the installation method if needed.

If you wish to submit an alternative tender to the proposed base design, please still submit on the design as well as the alternative.

Thank you.

Question:
Hi Council,

Can you please confirm the Lime & Cement Ratio's you are requiring for the Stabilisation Works?

Thanks

Answered on 06/Oct/2025 10:17 AM:

We have not specified a stabilisation material or amount as it is dependent on what is uncovered on site during excavation. We know the road base at the centre of the road is about 300mm deep, the edges and under the base is unknown and expected to be in bad condition for construction.

Thank you.

Question:
Hi Council,

Can you please confirm the size & depth of the Stormwater Pit that is required?

Thanks

Answered on 08/Oct/2025 02:42 PM:

A 900mm x 900mm pit side entry, that’s cast down on top of the main stormwater line and broken into.

Current pit is approx. 0.76m deep.

Thank you

Question:
Hi Council,

Regarding the Response to the Stabilisation, how do you want us to Price this in? We will need to have a base mix ratio to price this off? Or we can leave this item out all together.

Thanks

Answered on 08/Oct/2025 03:00 PM:

As per Line item 4.3 of the response schedule, please select either Lime or Cement, and state the ratio you are quoting.

A minimum ratio to look at for stabilisation is 3% up to 6%. Please utilise schedule 12.3 to add variations to this rate as the stabilisation method will be finalised when the road is excavated and material examined.

Thank you.
