The Queensland Fire Department (QFD) will soon release an Expression of Interest for the Provision of Third-Party Logistics, the scope of services covers the provision of warehousing in Brisbane, Australia.
Background information / Compatibility requirements
Details
QFD supplies uniforms, personal protective equipment (PPE) and other equipment through the current warehousing arrangement for the department’s staff and volunteers comprising of up to 1,790 inventory lines.

QFD will release the EOI in February 2026 to the market to:

- identify suppliers with the capability, capacity and experience to deliver the required services

- shortlist suppliers for the purpose of a future Invitation to Offer

Details
The scope of Services covers the provision of warehousing in:

• Brisbane

In summary, Services encompass the following activity and associated ancillary services:

• Receipt of product

• Appropriate storage of products in ambient environments

• Order preparation

• Order despatch

• Product returns and recalls

• Inventory management including inventory inspection

• Repack management of approved damaged product packaging or returns

• Conduct Cycle Counts and Stocktakes

• Management of transport contractors

• Recycling and disposal of returned stock and warehouse ullage (including packaging),

• Management of laundry services

- Storage & tracking of items to be sent to and received from QFD contracted laundry services.
