Richmond Valley Council (RVC) is a local government area on the Northern Rivers region of north-eastern New South Wales, Australia. RVC services an area of 3,051 square kilometres (1,178 sq mi) and draws its name from the Richmond River, which flows through most of the council area. The area under management is located adjacent to the Bruxner Highway, Pacific Highway, and the North Coast railway line.

This tender has been called to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to complete all works outlined in the scope of works as per the attached detailed plans and bill of quantities for the footpath and drainage construction on Colches Street, Farley Street & Jersey Street, Casino.

The scope of works includes but is not limited to:

• Consult with affected property owners two weeks in advance via a letter box drop and/or door knock.

• Dial Before You Dig – locate and pothole (if required) underground services

• Survey works to be located and protected prior to starting

• Highlight overhead electrical wires

• Establish on site and install sediment controls.

• Implement Pedestrian and Traffic Management Plan

• Lower water mains under location of new box culvert and existing stormwater pipe

• Remove existing concrete as defined on plans in the vicinity of Dean Street

• Install flushing point on existing 150mm pipeline

• Excavate for and pour 5 MPa sub bases and wing wall footings

• Construct box culvert bases

• Install box culverts and crown units

• Construct wing walls from box culverts

• Construct concrete footpath to Ch.27.5

• Excavate for and pour 5 MPa subbase under channel extension and widenings

• Construct channel extension, widenings and concrete apron to Ch.14.70

• Excavate for and pour 5 MPa subbase under concrete dish drain

• Excavate for new 100mm thick footpath in Jersey Street

• Demolish parts of the existing headwall structure in Farley Street

• Recover the recoverable parts of the existing pit structure near Farley Street

• Install flushing point on existing 150mm pipeline

• Replace sewer manhole Lids

• Pour concrete dish drain and footpath along Jersey Street

• Construct new headwall structure and join to dish drain

• Shape drain inlet to box culvert and sides of concrete drain

• Restore and seed all disturbed areas in Jersey Street

• Set up appropriate traffic management in Farley Street (consider a detour along Jersey Street and Cedar Street)

• Dig bed and lay stormwater lines

• Backfill, compact and shape to finished surface over and adjacent to the new pipelines

• Excavate for new 150mm thick footpath is stages in Farley Street

• Pour concrete footpath

• Progressively restore and seed works ensuring appropriate compaction is achieved to prevent edge drops forming adjacent to new path works

• Install guide posts

• Arrange for completion of project walk through and attend to any minor outstanding works

• Demobilise/handover to assets.

• Provide Work as Executed (WAE) Plans and timestamped photos.

The works are to be undertaken in accordance with Richmond Valley Council Design Plans (R-C-0380-1005) and Part 3 Specifications document.
