Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Contractors for the above.

A pre-tender site briefing is scheduled for 10:30am on Wednesday 16 September 2026, on site. Attendance is recommended but is not mandatory. Please register your interest with the contact officer for the pre-tender site briefing.

Tender responses are to be submitted electronically via Council’s Vendor Panel portal, or via email to tenders@ccc.tas.gov.au and with the description and tender number (T1586-25) clearly marked, until 3.00pm AEDT on 7 October 2026.

Question:
With reference to the Section 4 of the RFT regarding working hours and traffic limitations, the available working times on Clarence Street are to be limited between 9am – 2:30pm, with extended working hours accepted on Clarence Street to 9pm. We have therefore interpreted the available working hours as 9am – 2:30pm and 6:30pm – 9pm. Due to the limited working windows (max 5.5 hours) can you please confirm if nightworks would be permitted?

Good Morning,

Work between 9pm and 7am is unlikely to be approved except in exceptional circumstances due to the impact those works have on the local residential community.

There may be an opportunity during state school holidays to reduce the hours where lane closure restrictions apply on Cambridge Road as traffic volumes decrease during school holidays.

The final date for Practical Completion has been extended from 18 December 2027 to 4 February 2028 to increase the time available to work during school holidays.

Can the principle confirm if any works can be completed outside the nominated work hours?

That is, work being completed between 9pm to 7am.
