Question:
Good morning, could you please confirm the plant species, size and plant densities per sqm required for landscaping reinstating? Thank you.

Answered on 05/Oct/2026 05:51 PM:

Hi, Landscaping disturbed by the works is to be reinstated to match the existing planting, including species, plant size and planting density. The extent of reinstatement will depend on the Contractor’s proposed construction methods and resulting disturbance. Tenderers are to clearly identify the extent of reinstatement and pricing assumptions included in their tender.

Question:
- 20 business day construction period / LDs – Pages 5 and 12:

Can we please check whether the 20 days is actually intended to be mandatory, because it seems very tight for the scope of works.

- Potholing / IFC drawings / pre-start – Pages 97, 98 and 100

Council requires potholing to be completed and any changes incorporated into For Construction drawings before the pre-start meeting. If potholing identifies a design issue, it may also require a Minor Change approval. 01-230176(C)_260925_TENDER_DOCU…

Can we confirm who is responsible for doing and paying for the required potholing, and whether the contract period only starts once the IFC drawings and pre-start approvals are in place? Traffic permits will be required for the potholing to take place.

- Rock and ground conditions – Pages 7 and 24 - Please confirm if the 100m3 of rock quantity will be adjusted to suit if the volume is exceeded.

- Insurance requirement – Pages 11 and 21 - Please confirm if PL insurance is to be 20 or 25M?

- Please confirm if the contract will take 5% retention monies (e.g. 10% of each claim until 5% of the contract sum is reached) and no additional security will be taken.

Thank you.

Question:
To ensure our submission fully aligns with the project requirements and expectations, we would appreciate the opportunity to participate in a tender walkthrough with the project team.

We would like the opportunity to discuss and review:

The overall project scope and objectives.

Key design elements and any identified constraints.

The pricing schedule and measurement assumptions.

Construction methodology and staging requirements.

Any specific client expectations, risks, or priorities that should be considered in our submission.

We believe this discussion will assist in developing a comprehensive and competitive tender that accurately reflects the project's requirements.

Please let us know if a suitable time can be arranged.

Answered on 06/Oct/2026 03:43 PM:

Unfortunately, time is not available for a meeting during the Tender period and this would not be fair and reasonable to other Tenderers. We believe sufficient information is contained within the Tender Documents however if you require clarifications please provide questions in this forum.
