Business Info
The Central Highlands region is in Central Queensland, Australia. The region encompasses an area of around 60 000 square kilometres, making it just short of the size of Tasmania.
It is home to around 30 000 people who live in the thirteen unique communities of Arcadia Valley, Bauhinia, Blackwater, Bluff, Capella, Comet, Dingo, Duaringa, Emerald, Rolleston, Sapphire Gemfields, Springsure and Tieri.
Our region is rich in minerals and agriculture, thriving on irrigation sourced from water storage on the Nogoa and Comet rivers. We claim the largest sapphire-producing fields in the Southern Hemisphere.
Major freight routes through the region include the north-south link between Charters Towers and northern New South Wales—identified as the inland transport alternative between Cairns and Melbourne.

Answered on 22/Apr/2026 08:56 AM
:
Good morning
We are working on obtaining the outstanding information and will consider a 1-week extension of time for tender closing if the information can not be provided this week.
It is expected that the maintenance will be done in a milk-run style round trip so please allow for costing of this in the mobilisation/demobilisation item. Also consider if the work will run across a weekend then Council will need to make arrangements to lock/unlock sites. This will be subject to approval in the Permit to Work.

Question

Question
:
Good afternoon,
I have contacted Rockhampton Regional Council and Gladstone Regional Council regarding a reference for the tender. As you would be aware (being a Council) that Council officers are not permitted to give a Council reference, however they can give a personal reference. We would love for them to be able to give us a reference as the scope of work we do for them is exactly what your tender is looking for. Is a personal reference fine?
Also could you please explain the paragraph before 2.1 "All pages within Part 3 (including response schedules S01 to S16" I am not sure what this relates to.
Thanking you in advance.
Answered on 06/May/2026 02:18 PM
:
Good afternoon, ideally we need the name and email address from a supplier that you have done work for. If you have done work for CHRC then you can nominate a person from CHRC or any other person that you have supplied services to.
Please complete Part 3 and attach any relevant information where you have ticked the box "Tick if attached". Ignore the sentence (including response schedules S01 to S16).
Please make sure you also complete the Excel Pricing Schedule and insert a signature to show that the offer is signed. The signed copy can be via an attached pdf if you prefer but we would also like the excel file submitted.

Question
:
Good morning,
*Regarding the manual checks - request for oil change as per OEM. Enquiring about filters etc, will these be considered minor repairs?
*With the electrician that we will use - can we quote travel and hourly rate per site or do we have to quote per piece of equipment?
Thankyou.
Answered on 07/May/2026 10:23 AM
:
Thank you for your question. Please be advised as follows:
1. Your pricing per site must include oil, service kits and valve kits, filters as indicated in the technical specification. If not included in your pricing then please specify the additional cost of these items and any on-cost % that may apply. Any equipment that is failing due to deterioration that need to be repaired or replaced will be considered as a repair needing a quote that Council has to accept before the contractor can proceed with the works as indicated in item 6.17 and 6.18 of the Technical Specification Part 2A.
2. Please include all your travel costs per site in the lump sum price per site. The only time that vehicle mileage is applicable is for emergency service and repairs. You may provide separate rates for electrical and mechanical trades as required.

Question
:
Good morning,
I am in the final stages of the tender. I have just been given figures from our service tech and he has incorporated travel and accommodation for each site. I have noted that the first line on the price schedule spreadsheet asks for Mobilisation / Demobilisation to Emerald incl travel, and accommodation. Can I just put a 0$ figure against this (as this has been quoted for in the cost of servicing) or do you want me to break it down?
Thankyou
Answered on 08/May/2026 08:34 AM
:
Good morning
Yes, insert $0 for the mobilisation / demobilisation and indicate at the bottom of the pricing schedule in text that the rates provided have included mobilisation / demobilisation.

We will provide the serial numbers for the Rolleston assets early next week.
