What the buyer is requesting
Details
Hinchinbrook Shire Council (the Principal) invites Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors for reconstruction works under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) Program – Sealed Road Packages.
The Works involve the repair and reconstruction of multiple sealed road assets across the Hinchinbrook Shire that were damaged as a result of Tropical Cyclone Jasper and the North and Far North Tropical Low weather events occurring between 29 January and 28 February 2025.
The Works are geographically dispersed and include a range of treatment types, including pavement reconstruction, bitumen spray sealing, patch repairs, pothole repairs, and associated ancillary works necessary to restore the assets to an appropriate service level.
The Works are divided into separable portions (SP1, SP2 and SP3), and the Principal reserves the right to award one, multiple, or all separable portions to a single Contractor or across multiple Contractors, in accordance with the outcome of the evaluation process.
The Contract will be delivered under a Construct Only model, with the Contractor responsible for the supply of all labour, plant, materials, and supervision required to complete the Works in accordance with the Contract.
Further details of the Works are provided in Part 5 – Scope.

Question
:
Good Morning,
As estimation resources across the industry are currently very strained, we would like to request a 1 week extension to the submission date for this tender to allow adequate time to ensure a fully considered bid can be presented to council.
Thank you

Good morning
Council has considered the request, but due to a number of internal constraints, we're unable to accommodate an extension of one week.
