Yes the site visit for Gdi SPS1 is on Wednesday the 5th November at 9:30am.

There is also a site meeting for the Texas SPS1 works on Wednesday the 5th November at 12pm.

Question:
Could you please confirm whether the Hidrostal pump installation hardware—including discharge pedestals and guide rail arrangements can be supplied within the wet well?

Council requests Flygt DN100 discharge pedestals. If Hidrostal pumps are proposed, they are to be fitted with adaptors compatible with these pedestal pumps. This ensures greater operational flexibility, allowing our team to interchange pumps more easily when required.

Question:
Would GRC consider a relaxation of the Mandatory Site briefing if the contractor attended last year's site briefing and submitted a Tender previously for this project?

While we appreciate that you attended the previous site briefing, to ensure all tenderers have access to the same current information and are not disadvantaged, attendance at the upcoming mandatory site meeting is still required. The request for exemption is therefore declined.

Could Council please confirm the size of the existing wet well? Additionally, for the decommissioning of the existing wet well, is backfilling with stabilised sand required, or is general fill with standard compaction acceptable?

Plans of the existing Pump Station have been added to the Tender Files.

As noted on the Site Tender meeting notes - Backfill material must be suitable for the application and be suitably compacted to support vehicle loading equivalent to a 30-tonne truck (e.g., vacuum truck or truck with Hiab).

Note 1 – the bottom of the existing concrete must be broken up prior to back filling.

Note 2 - a 12 month defect liability period applies to this project, and that will include any ground subsidence. So backfill must be suitable to site requirements. Your proposed methodology should be included in your submission.

We respectfully request a two-week extension to the current tender closing date due to the following reasons:

The Christmas and New Year shutdown period falls within the tender preparation timeframe, significantly impacting our ability to finalize submissions.

None of our key suppliers and subcontractors will return before mid-January, and they require additional time to provide accurate pricing and technical inputs.

The festive and holiday period reduces industry-wide availability, making it challenging to obtain competitive and compliant quotations within the original timeframe.

Granting this extension will ensure a complete, competitive, and high-quality submission, benefiting all parties involved.

After consideration of your request, GRC has approved a two-week extension to the Tender closing date.

RFT2526-30 will now close at 4:00pm on 21 January 2026.

Please note that, in line with our procurement requirements, tender awards must be resolved at a Council meeting. These occur monthly, so this extension will push the award timeframe back—likely to the March meeting.

You should factor this timing into your construction schedule. While we are aware the works can no longer be completed by 30 June, your proposed schedule must still demonstrate realistic and achievable delivery timeframes.
