The Mayor and councillors work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and staff to deliver a range of plans and strategies that guide the delivery of major projects across the region, and council’s capital works program. Council remains committed to its vision for the Sunshine Coast: to be Australia’s most sustainable region – healthy, smart, creative.

Sunshine Coast Council (Council) is seeking to engage an experienced and appropriately qualified Principal Contractor to design and construct a new Sports House within the Sunshine Coast Stadium, located at 31 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina.

The scope of work includes electrical enabling works, demolition of the existing building, and the design and construction of a new Sports House on largely the same footprint.

Design Works will include, but not be limited to:

• Preliminary Design;

• Detailed Design;

• Council Review meetings;

• All approvals, and permits;

Construction Works will include, but not be limited to:

• Enabling works comprising electrical infrastructure amendments;

• Demolition of the existing Sports House;

• Construction of a new Sports House;

• Civil works as required to adjust levels;

• Full remediation of the demolition site;

• Landscape and full remediation of the construction site;

Council is looking to engage one Principal Contractor to undertake the entire scope of works. The successful Contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant and labour, and to perform all necessary operations of whatever kind, to ensure the successful completion of the works associated with this Contract.

It is anticipated that works will commence in December 2026, with a duration of approximately 15 months.

An information session will be held on site as per the details set out below in Schedule 2.
