SPECIFICATION FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF ONE 22,000ltr WATER CART
A fully itemised quotation showing a breakdown of costs is required of the following:
• for the supply and delivery of one Semi-Trailer Tandem Axle Water Cart.
1. Delivery:
Delivery of the unit shall be made to the Operations Centre. Ridge Street, Wedderburn and all costs of delivery shall be borne by the Tenderer. The Tenderer shall provide at his own cost an experienced operator for an appropriate period to acquaint Council's operator and mechanic with the operation and maintenance of the watercart.
A realistic date of delivery (from receipt of official purchase order) shall be indicated in the Tender.
3. Service and Warranty:
Tenderers shall include in their Tender: -
• All conditions relating to after sale service and warranty.
• The location of service providers.
• The location and details of spare parts providers.
4. Specific Features Required: -
List of specific features required
(a) Carrying capacity around 22,000 litres.
(b) Tandem axle with air bag suspension fitted with ten stud large centre rims
(c) Pivoting turntable
(d) Baffled tank
(e) Individually replicable LED taillights
(f) Dribble bar & pressure bar 400mm above road height
(g) Remote control with inductive charge dock to control electric over air for sprays and dribble bar
(h) Three x fan sprays fully adjustable across rear operated independently with a larger centre spray
(i) One x 25m, 25mm hose reel to be fitted
(j) Three inch male cam lock outlet for bulk filling fitted with butterfly valve
(k) Self-priming water pump is required to fill from creeks and dams in approximately 10 minuets
(l) Independent diesel motor mounted at the front of the trailer to run hydraulic pump at rear of trailer with remote start
(m) Suction fill point to be accessible at ground level at the rear facing to the left hand side or rear
(n) Water level site glass to fitted drivers side at the front of tank
(o) Hydrant fill point to be accessible at ground level on the left hand side
(p) Spare wheel and tyre
(q) Large toolbox to be fitted
(r) Two x 6m Suction hose and holders are to be fitted to trailer
(s) Wind down landing legs
(t) Amber rotating beacons to fitted and visible from 360 degrees
(u) Work lights to be fitted at rear
(v) A 60 litre water tank must be fitted to assist with priming pump.
(w) The unit shall comply with all relevant State Acts and Regulations
(x) Risk assessment on the item
5. Registration:
The Tenderer shall be required to register the water cart for Municipal purposes prior to delivery to Council. Fleet expiry date is June 30. The cost of registration and Stamp Duty shall be shown separately on invoice to Council.
6. General information:
Tenderers shall provide full and comprehensive information with respect to the
following items: -
• A list of current owners of the model offered for tender shall be provided upon request.
• Full details of the unit offered shall be shown and listed including brochures, graphs of characteristics and any other information deemed appropriate.
• Suction fill times are required to be provided with tender.
• A fully itemised quotation showing a breakdown of costs is required.
