What the buyer is requesting
Details
The Department is seeking recommendation from technical experts and suppliers on the best method for water treatment and provision of supply of that equipment. The water treatment equipment is for treating pit water to a standard to enable irrigation on-site.

The Department is initially seeking a solution on site, as soon as possible to reduce water storage volumes for the upcoming wet season. It is anticipated the equipment for this year will necessarily be a temporary or mobile unit that can be transported. Solutions for further year(s) are also invited as it is acknowledged that longer lead times are required for capital purchases.

Consequently, there are three commercial options invited for service offering including:

Capital purchase of equipment and plant outright

Hire-to-buy arrangement, and

Lease equipment/plant for a 6 to 12 month timeframe with the possibility of extension.

Question:
Based on the scope of works, it is understood that the water treatment system is needed to be onsite and operational by the end of October 2025? Noting that this tender closes on 17th October 2025, can you please confirm this date.

We manufacture treatment systems, including containerized RO systems, however, these typically have a time frame of 6 months from order to supply. Based on the time frame of the required system, we may not be able to meet the timeline commitments of this project. Unfortunately we do not provide or have rental units or units for lease.

The deadline for water Sample has passed. We may be able to organise a time for next week. In the meantime; could you please confirm your attendance for industry briefing via an Addendum document which is to be issued by the department shortly.

Thank you for the question Kym, you are welcome to submit a late request however, the evaluation panel retains the discretion to decide whether to grant or evaluate it. Should we arrive at an evaluation decision prior to the late submission, it is conceivable that the tenderer may forfeit the opportunity.
