Our 7,500 strong workforce delivers services across our South East Queensland and Regional networks, including Travel and Tourism services and Regional Freight.
Our South East Queensland team provides 8,392 services each week, supporting our customers to reach their destination safely and on-time. In 2019-2020, 44 million passenger trips were taken on the South East Queensland network (a decrease of approximately 20 per cent compared to 2018-2019, associated with COVID-19).
The Regional networks commuter and rail tourism markets are serviced by the Travel and Tourism products. These comprise eight services connecting Regional communities across Queensland with other Regional centres and the South East Queensland corner. These services support the Queensland tourism industry through the provision of unique rail tourism experiences including special events and charters through the operation of a small fleet of heritage services.
Our Regional networks and Freight team provides rail access for freight operators and other Queensland Rail supply chain customers to enable the critical transport of resources and general freight across the state.

Queensland Rail is seeking suitably qualified and experienced suppliers for the establishment of a Network Safeworking Services Panel to provide safeworking personnel across the Queensland Rail network. The new Panel is intended to replace the existing arrangement, which expires at the end of October 2027, with the new arrangement expected to commence following expiry of the existing Panel.

Services may include Rail Corridor Protection Officers (RCPOs), Lookouts, Handsignallers, Protection Officers (POs), Protection Officers Plus (PO+) and Possession Protection Officers (PPOs). Suppliers must ensure personnel hold and maintain the applicable competencies, accreditations and requirements relevant to the services being performed.

The information available through VendorPanel for QRP-26-22 is provided to assist suppliers in determining whether this opportunity is relevant to their organisation and does not constitute the complete Tender documentation.
