Question: How many shops within each town

Answer: The number of shops involved and the locations will be determined by the interest of shop owners. Budget will also influence the total number of shops and locations we can use.

Answer: Yes

Question:
Hi again! Could you please provide the assessment criteria so that we know how to prepare our response?

Also, is there an estimated budget available?

Answered on 20/Jun/2025 01:16 PM:

Q. Could you please provide the assessment criteria so that we know how to prepare our response?

A. The assessment criteria are included in the Request for Quotation Document accompanying this Request.

Q. Also, is there an estimated budget available?

A. The RFQ is deliberately open-ended in relation to budget. Our advice is to be specific in relation to project deliverables and costings. Suppliers may wish to offer scalable price points or other options to support scale or flexibility in pricing and value.

Question:
hi,

May I ask the following questions:-

1. How are you expecting this project to be quoted on? Are you after hourly rates for key people and totals for things like engagement, photography and graphic design work? Assume we will exclude the cost of the decals and installation given we don't know how many or what size yet and can do a budget for those later?

2. Will council be responsible for obtaining permissions for the decals from the property owners? Given an agreement will need to be entered into between council and the owner it would make more sense.

3. Do you have a preferred process for engaging the community to unearth the stories and find people willing to be photographed?

4. Why is tourism experience relevant for this project? It seems strange given the strategy has been determined already and it seems like a consultant experienced in engagement, design and working in urban renewal projects would be the actual skills you need.

thank you

These are all correct assumptions.

2. Will council be responsible for obtaining permissions for the decals from the property owners? Given an agreement will need to be entered into between council and the owner it would make more sense.

Yes, Council will assist with agreements and facilitating contact with property owners.

3. Do you have a preferred process for engaging the community to unearth the stories and find people willing to be photographed?

No, but we have some ideas and ability to assist and facilitate community engagement.

4. Why is tourism experience relevant for this project? It seems strange given the strategy has been determined already and it seems like a consultant experienced in engagement, design and working in urban renewal projects would be the actual skills you need.

Tourism experience relates to a secondary project objective - that aesthetic improvements to streetscapes will make townships more attractive to visitors. The successful supplier will be asked to consider relevant Council strategies, including the Visitor Economy Strategy, prior to commencing project work. Therefore, an understanding of tourism and the visitor economy will be helpful.

Question:
I note the minimum Public Liability insurance is not less than $20M, can you confirm this is correct - it seems large given the scale of the project.

Answered on 26/Jun/2025 11:17 AM:

$20M is our standard.

Thank you.

Question:
Hello! We are wondering if decals are the absolute only option? We would like to propose a slight alternative that meets the required outcomes for the work. Many thanks!

Answered on 02/Jul/2025 12:24 PM:

Open to hear other options/methodology.

Thank You.

Question:
Good morning.

We have the following questions for this RFQ:

What is the location for the installation?

e.g Is it all the towns in the shire or just Wedderburn

How many stores are included in the project?

Is the installation limited to just photos?

Could the installations include physical items placed inside the retail stores?

What is the future of these shops?

Is it to reinvigorate interest for potential re- leasing?

Do we need to accommodate for an active shopfront in the future

What is the lifespan of the installation?

Who manages the practical components of the community engagement?

Following acceptance of content design, brief and process - will the execution of capturing the community content be managed by Loddon Shire Council?

Thank you

What is the location for the installation?

e.g Is it all the towns in the shire or just Wedderburn

We would like to see all our key towns involved, but locations will be determined by responses from property owners and project budget

3.
How many stores are included in the project?

There is no set number, but responses from property owners and project budget will determine final numbers.

4.
Is the installation limited to just photos?

We think so, but open to hear alternative ideas

5.
Could the installations include physical items placed inside the retail stores?

Possibly, but we are looking for visual impact from the street and items inside properties may not have the same visual impact – again, open to hearing more.

6.
What is the future of these shops?

That is not a question for Council, but for property owners

7.
Is it to reinvigorate interest for potential re- leasing?

Please refer to the project objectives in the RFQ

Primary Objectives:

- Enliven commercial areas of Loddon Shire.

- Enhance the aesthetic appeal of the streetscape.

- Celebrate the local community.

- Stimulate economic activity.

Long-Term Goals:

- Increase regional and national recognition of Loddon Shire.

- Drive investment, tourism, and business development.

- Foster community pride and cohesion.

8.
Do we need to accommodate for an active shopfront in the future?

No

9.
What is the lifespan of the installation?

12-24 months

10. Who manages the practical components of the community engagement?

Council

11. Following acceptance of content design, brief and process - will the execution of capturing the community content be managed by Loddon Shire Council?

Council will negotiate with the preferred supplier, resourcing in relation to capturing community content – it is expected that Council will resource but that the consultant/supplier will contribute to the work and process.
