Ballina Shire Council is located on the New South Wales Far North Coast, 770 kilometres north of Sydney and 190 kilometres south of Brisbane. The Shire, an area of 484 square kilometres, is set amongst a picturesque rural-coastal landscape and enjoys a temperate to mild subtropical climate.

The Shires resident population is approximately 45,000 with major service centre Ballina servicing the major townships of Alstonville, Lennox Head, Wollongbar, and Wardell. As well as a number of smaller villages and localities including Cumbalum, Teven, Tintenbar and Knockrow.

Ballina Shire Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to undertake design, supply, and construction of a public playground at Prospect Park, East Ballina.

Interested Contractors are recommended to attend a site inspection at Prospect Park, East Ballina at 12pm Wednesday 29 July 2026 prior to submitting a proposal. This site inspection is NOT MANDATORY, but attendance is recommended and will be recorded. If you cannot attend the site at this time, a site visit and inspection is recommended prior to submission.

The playground must be constructed to the required standards in accordance with the Ballina Shire Playground Upgrade and Management Plan, relevant playground hierarchy and attached specifications.
