What the buyer is requesting
Details
To procure a supplier to develop a tailored, whole-of-system training package to support government agencies and non-government services to identify and respond to suicide risk when supporting people impacted by domestic and family violence (DFV). The Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety (the Department) is revising the Framework to strengthen and enhance its use. This presents an opportunity to increase understanding of the intersection between suicide and DFV, and guide practitioners to confidently identify and respond to people experiencing suicide risk in DFV.

Effective responses to suicide risk and DFV require cross-agency coordination across multiple services including health, justice, education, housing, and child protection. Given the intersection between DFV and suicide risk, the Framework acknowledges practitioners working with people impacted by DFV have a role to play in responding to suicide risk.

The Department is seeking to engage a supplier to develop and deliver a training package to support government agencies and non-government services. The development of a tailored suicide risk and response training package will support the implementation of the revised Framework across the service system and help to build workforce capability for practitioners to better respond to people impacted by DFV who are at suicide risk.

Question:
Good morning Team, Can you confirm the platform the training will be hosted on?

Answered on 01/May/2026 01:19 PM:

Thank you for your interest in this tender opportunity.

The tender is for the development of an entire training package which is made up of multiple components and extends beyond the provision of a suite of resources.

The Department is interested in understanding the multi-model approaches suppliers propose to use to deliver the training package, which should be detailed as part of the tender response. If a supplier’s proposed approach includes an online module component, suppliers should advise in their response where and how the module(s) will be hosted, which could be negotiated with the Department, if successful.

Question:
We would appreciate clarification on what is meant by the term “agencies and services” in the context of the spectrum.

Specifically, could you outline the types of agencies and services intended, and the range of staff roles or cohorts this encompasses?

Answered on 06/May/2026 04:07 PM:

Thank you for your interest in this tender opportunity.

Queensland’s DFV integrated service system brings together all agencies and services that may engage with a person impacted by DFV under a single, cohesive system.

In the Queensland context, ‘agencies and services’ spans across Queensland Government agencies including police, courts, justice, corrections, health, education, child safety, housing; sector-based DFV specialist services, other non-DFV services, and the broader community.

Through this project, the Department intends to build capacity of staff working in these agencies and services that encounter people impacted by DFV or people who may be at suicide risk. This may include frontline workers, practitioners, and others with a role in responding to DFV and/or suicide prevention.

Question:
Please see below clarifications:

• Is the Department prepared to provide an indicative budget for this opportunity?

• Can the Department confirm whether CVs for key personnel can be provided as a separate attachment (not included in the 8 page response)

Thank you.

Answered on 08/May/2026 09:40 AM:

Thank you for your interest in this tender opportunity.

As part of procurement processes, the Department aims to ensure a fair and competitive environment for all suppliers. At this stage, the Department is unable to disclose the project budget. However, suppliers are encouraged to propose a solution that delivers value for money while meeting the requirements outlined in the procurement documentation.

Regarding the provision of CVs for key personnel, the Department will accept resumes/CVs for key personnel provided as a separate attachment. However, it is still a requirement that suppliers provide a summary of their key personnel as per Evaluation Criteria 1 outlined in the procurement documentation.
