What the buyer is requesting
Details
Sutherland Shire Council invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to tender for the Prince Edward Park Woronora Pedestrian Bridge Renewal Project.

The project involves the demolition of the existing pedestrian bridge and the construction of a new bridge to provide a safe, compliant, and durable pedestrian and cyclist crossing over the Woronora River. The works also include the construction of new shared pedestrian and bicycle path connections associated with the bridge replacement.

The existing bridge, owned by Sutherland Shire Council, provides an important active transport link between Prince Edward Park and Prices Circuit, connecting the northern and southern banks of the Woronora River. Due to the structure's age and condition, the bridge exhibits several defects and no longer meets current design and compliance requirements, affecting its safety, serviceability, and long-term performance.

The Woronora River is an environmentally sensitive area, and the successful Contractor will be required to undertake the works in accordance with all relevant environmental approvals, statutory requirements, and project-specific environmental management measures.

Mandatory site briefing will be required. Meeting location is at Prince Edward Park Carpark off Prince Edward Park Rd Woronora NSW.

@ 11am on 20th Oct 2026 (Tue)

If attending contractors must RSVP to procurement@ssc.nsw.gov.au
