I am unable to guide you with the specific documents but would encourage you to review the 5 specification documents in the ITO packs.

Question:
We are seeking clarification for the above mentioned tender:

1. Women’s Health systems are not mentioned.

Do you want these added and if so under what category? or

Will they be requested at a later date?

2. Handheld systems are not mentioned.

Do you want these added and if so under what category? or

Will they be requested at a later date?

3. If a system can be used across more than 1 category, do you want it listed twice or just once?

E.g. Unit “XYZ” could be listed under the Cardiac and the Portable Cardiac category.

4. How many systems will be listed / awarded for each category?

5. Will the number of systems / vendors be limited per category, if so what is the criteria?

E.g. If 5 companies respond with 3 systems each under Cardiac, will all 15 systems be listed or will there be a limit and only 1 system from each vendor awarded – what is the criteria for the culling.

Answered on 24/Oct/2025 10:44 AM:

Hi Evette,

Thank you for your questions, I had to seek clarification, and the answers are below:

Womens Health - general diagnostic

Handheld - point of care

Bladder scanner - point of care

A system being used across multiple categories should be included in each relevant category as each category will be evaluated by separate evaluation panels.

The number of systems or vendors per category is not fixed, however QH may choose to rationalise the range within each category based on clinical preferences and commercial evaluation.

Question:
Please find the following queries regarding QH530_QLD Government Ultrasound Equipment:

1) In the Response-QH530_Ultrasound Units Schedule of Particulars for each system/Operational Requirements Tab/Cell C182, it asks for “appropriate current Queensland licences they hold to operate the equipment legally”. Could you please elaborate on what licences you are referring to here?

2) In the Response-QH530_Ultrasound Units Schedule of Particulars for each system/Operational Requirements Tab/Cell C150, it asks for “appropriate licenses they hold to use the equipment legally”. Could you please elaborate on what licences you are referring to here?

Hello Caitlin,

Thank you for your question. I have reached out to a BTS specialist, and they have replied to your question with this clarification:

"Although there are no radiation use licenses required by vendors, in theory service personnel would require an electrical license to maintain and repair ultrasound systems?

There is no license required no possess ultrasound systems."

I hope this helps.

Thanks, Karen

Question:
Good afternoon

We are submitting multiply systems under each of the categories (greater than 20) and note you are asking for Privacy and Security Manuals and service manuals for each.

Do you want these submitted for EVERY device, knowing they vary from 10MB - 70MB each or can we supply a link to a document portal, which will allow you access to every document we have on file?

Answered on 05/Nov/2025 01:18 PM:

Hello Evette,

Thanks for your question. A link can be provided but please note that the documents will be downloaded at tender close and not referenced again.

Kind regards, Karen

Question:
are we able to provide an alternative offer for out of scope devices as part of our offer for Ultrasound units under the Cardio Ultrasound category?

Basically want to clarify if we can provide value adds for products that are not technically in a scope of this tender but related to the clinical application.

Answered on 17/Nov/2025 09:42 AM:

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your question. We are happy for your company to submit an alternative offer and will give it to the evaluation panel to review. Please use the appropriate sections for this offer.

Thanks, Karen

Question:
Hi

One of the insurance requirements mentioned in ITO_Part_B_SOA_Details is cyber liability.

We hold all other relevant insurance coverages; however, we do not presently maintain cyber security insurance.

Should this be a mandatory requirement? Can we submit the ITO with the below comment

“We confirm our commitment to obtain this insurance upon award of the contract.”

Answered on 25/Nov/2025 10:48 AM:

Yes is it a mandatory requirement, however we are happy to accept an offer on the provision if your product is evaluated to be successful you organisation purchase this insurance. The final contract will need cyber security as a requirement before execution.

Question:
Hi There

Our product is out of the box plug & play POCUS that needs a compatible tablet to operate, many of the mandatory items don't seem to apply to this range, under procedural point of care category.

Our questions are:

1. Technical requirements:

Many of the codes and standards listed as mandatory, this device doesn't have (relating to QLD standards), but does have the ISO 13485:2016. Is it still OK to submit the offer?

2. Installation:

Because our product is an out of box unit, and to operate it, the app needs to be downloaded onto compatible android tablet, there's no installation and commissioning required. Is it still OK to submit the offer?

Answered on 26/Nov/2025 01:24 PM:

Hi Nidhi,

Thanks for your question.

1. Yes, please submit, this will be evaluated by BTS for compliance

2. Yes, please submit the offer as an alternative offer.

Thanks, Karen
