What the buyer is requesting
Details
Road Tek Mackay runs a Reseal preparation programme and this work involves the use of Stabilisation technology. We are looking to expand this operation to set up a team that will be able to carry out small scale repairs utilising small scale stabilisation.
The machine required to carry out this stabilisation work will be a Schibeci ST1000 and an ASV RT 135 Posi track loader.
Data for these items of plant are available:
o https://www.asvi.com/compact-track-loaders/rt-135/
o https://www.scemachinery.com/st1000.html
The plan is to carry out this small-scale work for a 3-month trial to gauge the success of the works.
We are requesting quotes from contractors for:
• The supply of the ASV RT135 with competent operator.
• Grader attachment.
• Rotary broom.
It is envisaged that the contractor will be setup to transport this equipment, quote to be supplied for the moving of the plant on an hourly basis.
RoadTek will be hiring the Stabiliser attachment for the duration of the trial. RoadTek will be maintaining the stabiliser in accordance with the Manufacturers' specifications.
RoadTek will be managing the work scope, workflow, and all requirements etc to enable the operation to flow in an orderly manner.
Prior to commencement of this work ASV and Schibeci representative will provide equipment training.
It is expected that the operator will maintain the ASV machine and accessories, and that the operator demonstrates ability to operate the stabiliser in accord with the OEM instructions and abide with RoadTek safety requirements.
It is envisaged the work will be ongoing through the trial period working 5-day weeks. Commencing 28th April 2025 - 28th July 2025.

Question
:
Would Council consider a posi track loader of another brand but with the same specifications? We have available a Caterpillar 255 posi track with a grader blade attachment (GB124 with wings)
Answered on 10/Mar/2025 09:30 AM
:
The Schibeci Stabiliser attachment we are using requires very high hydraulic flow rates as well as good cooling capacity.
From our understanding the CAT 255 will not provide adequate capacity.

Question
:
Hi does the grader attachment require GPS or any sort of level control or will it be tying in with existing surface?
Answered on 10/Mar/2025 10:10 AM
:
Hi, no GPS will be required for the Grader attachment, as it will be matching with existing surface.

Question
:
Good morning,
We have a few queries regarding the above Request for Quote on the ASV Track/Loader Skid Steer.
On the RFQ there is a rate required for
Operating Rate 1
Operating Rate 2
Could you please clarify the difference.
Would the rate for the operator not be included in Rate # and # 2 ?
Is the operator rate in addition to the Operating Rate # 1 & 2 or just for an operator only.
Regarding Establishment/ Transport cost. Is it a requirement that the contractor be responsible to move the plant and equipment from each site to the next ?
If so then the only rate that can be submitted as an hourly rate, is this correct ?
Answered on 12/Mar/2025 10:40 AM
:
Good morning,
For all information on the Pricing Schedule breakdown of rate inclusions please refer to page 13, 14 & 15 of the 'SOA T's&C's' document attached.
Summary:
Operator Rate - Is to cover the cost of operator wages when attending inductions and site meetings.
Operating Rate 1 - Hourly rate to include the Contractor plant/equipment, operator, maintenance, servicing (incl oil, grease, ground engaging tools, and other consumables), fuel and PPE.
Operating Rate 2 - Hourly rate to include all of the above, however this rate is also to include the supply of accommodation, site fees and meals. (This rate only applies when outside of a 75km radius from the Contractor's nominated depot. The Contractor will be required to make their own accommodation and meal arrangements).
Establishment & Disestablishment - Yes that is correct - Rates per hour are to be provided. The Principal will pay the Contractor to establish at the commencement of each engagement and disestablish at the end of each engagement from their nominated depot. NOTE: the Principal will not pay for daily travel cost for the Contractor from their nominated depot or place of accommodation.

Question
:
Just wanted to clarify the below statement from RFQ;
"RoadTek will be hiring the Stabiliser attachment for the duration of the trial. RoadTek will be maintaining the stabiliser in accordance with the Manufacturers' specifications."
So we do not allow pricing to supply or maintain or transport this attachment? This is the full responsibility of Roadtek?
Thankyou
Answered on 12/Mar/2025 02:51 PM
:
Hi Graham,
That is correct, the attachment is the full responsibility of RoadTek.
