The Mayor and councillors work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and staff to deliver a range of plans and strategies that guide the delivery of major projects across the region, and council’s capital works program. Council remains committed to its vision for the Sunshine Coast: to be Australia’s most sustainable region – healthy, smart, creative.

This project includes removal of the existing trunk line and installation of the new reinforced concrete box culverts and stormwater infrastructure, it will involve some disruption to businesses on Trade Lane and will require the contractor to manage Traffic and pedestrians in a live environment. There will be some access constraints due to Stadium events, and this will need to be built into the Contractors program.

Works will include but not be limited to the following:

• Dewatering

• Acid sulphate soil management

• Groundwater control

• Access chamber construction

• Lake Kawana outlet works

• Installation of upgraded stormwater infrastructure

• Reconstruction of revetment walls - reference IFC Drawings

• Trade Lane reinstatement

• Sportsman Parade reinstatement

• Sewer realignment and replacement

• Temporary relocation of the pontoon

• Site demobilisation and project completion documentation

Works are to be carried out in a manner that will minimise impact to local traffic movements and the Sunshine Coast Stadium.

All works will be awarded to one Principal Contractor.

Council will procure and supply all RCBC culverts. The Contractor will supply all other materials. plant and labour necessary to complete all required works in accordance with the issued design and associated documents.

This is a lump sum contract with an anticipated Practical Completion date of February 2028.
