Tamworth Regional Council is a local government area in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. The area under administration is located adjacent to the New England Highway and the Main North railway line. It was established in March 2004 through the amalgamation of the former City of Tamworth with surrounding shires of Barraba, Manilla, Nundle and Parry.

Tamworth Regional Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced plumbing contractors for appointment to the Sport & Recreation Plumbing Maintenance Panel.

The panel will provide reactive and planned plumbing maintenance services across Council's Sport & Recreation facilities, including open spaces, swimming pools and, from October 2026, the Tamworth Regional Sports Dome.

The panel contract will operate for a period of twelve (12) months. Contractors appointed to the panel may be engaged to undertake maintenance works throughout the Tamworth Regional Local Government Area.

Interested contractors are required to submit the completed Mandatory Submission Form and all required supporting documentation as detailed in the Request documentation.

Tamworth Regional Council is seeking to establish a panel of suitably qualified plumbing contractors to provide reactive and planned plumbing maintenance services across Sport & Recreation facilities located throughout the Tamworth Regional Local Government Area.

Facilities serviced under this panel include swimming pools, sporting facilities, public amenities, open spaces and, from October 2026, the Tamworth Regional Sports Dome.

The panel arrangement is intended to provide Council with access to suitably qualified contractors capable of undertaking a broad range of maintenance plumbing works in a safe, compliant and professional manner.

Contractors must:

* Hold all relevant plumbing licences required to undertake the Services;

* Maintain Public Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation Insurance for the duration of the Contract;

* Demonstrate appropriate Work Health and Safety systems and procedures;

* Demonstrate appropriate environmental management procedures;

* Be capable of responding to maintenance requests across the Tamworth Regional LGA;

* Provide transparent pricing through nominated labour rates, travel rates and materials mark-up percentages; and

* Submit all mandatory documentation specified within the Request documentation.

Council intends to appoint multiple suitably qualified contractors to the panel.

Council is seeking to establish a panel of contractors that can provide reliable, safe and cost-effective plumbing maintenance services across Sport & Recreation facilities.

Desired outcomes include:

* Timely response to reactive maintenance requests;

* Consistent delivery of quality workmanship;

* Compliance with all applicable legislation, standards and Council requirements;

* Safe work practices and effective risk management;

* Clear communication with Council representatives;

* Transparent and competitive pricing;

* Accurate invoicing and supporting documentation; and

* Minimal disruption to facility operations and users.

The Contract will operate for a period of twelve (12) months.

Contractors appointed to the panel will be required to maintain all licences, insurances and compliance documentation for the duration of the Contract.

Rates submitted by the Contractor will remain fixed for the Contract Term unless otherwise agreed by Council.

Appointment to the panel does not guarantee any minimum volume or value of work.

Council may engage any contractor appointed to the panel for works covered by the Contract.
