Question
:
• Can the council provide the control philosophy for how the pump on the skids is intended to operate?
Answered on 20/Jan/2026 10:45 AM
:
Good morning,
Tenderers are able to tender for any pumpset configuration as long as it meets the delivery characteristics of the schematic drawings.
For the schematic drawings provided in the tender the pump supplier has indicated as follows;
1. The pump room can be delivered as a precast structure, delivered to site and lifted into place, then the pump skid would be installed inside.
2. The pump skid is assembled and tested in our factory and delivered as a complete assembly
3. The electrical design for this system has not been undertaken.
4. The system works on constant pressure, working as on demand as water is required at the Service Centre.
5. Two smaller pumps provide domestic supply to the site, the larger pump provides additional high flow when a hydrant is opened.
6. With the variable speed control domestic supply pumps, the 80L pressure tank is adequate.
Notwithstanding the advice provided above tenderers are still required to undertake their own due diligence and satisfy design specifications.
Kind regards

There is no requirement to allow for telemetry at this time. Question
:
Hi There,
Could council provide information on below?
1. On Drawing CE18119.1-201-GA at Chainage 160 there is a multi cell pipe culvert, with no headwalls, one of which has been undermined and collapsed.
Is the contractor responsible for the removal and reinstatement of the culverts? Or does CGRC propose to install an elevated section here as per the one on CE18119.1-103-GE?
2. Detail ‘B’ Schedule on Drawing CE18119.1-101-GE indicates the valve and fittings arrangement prior to the Under-bore. But on Drawing CE18119.1-208-GA at Chainage 4257.678 it has an ”H” shown on the long section, (but not on plan view). Is this meant to be “FH” (Hydrant)? It is not shown on Detail ‘B’ Schedule, despite being within 16m of SV (05) on the Schedule
3. On Drawing CE18119.1-102-GE - Detail ‘C’ Schedule indicates 2 x 250 SVs and 2 x 110 SVs but on Drawing CE18119.1-209-GA & CE18119.1-210-GA It lists 3 SVs at each junction.
Is an additional SV required on the 250mm MC01 branch?
4. On CE18119.1-102-GE Detail ‘D’. Schedule indicates a 250mm PE shouldered spigot into a 300mm SC-SC hydrant TEE and then onto another 250mm shouldered PE spigot, with a welded end cap and thrust block.
Drawing CE18119.1-209-GA Indicated that it is 200mm PVC PN18, as does Item 2.8 on the revised Lump Sum Schedule.
What should the Detail ‘D’ arrangement be?
5. On Drawing CE18119.1-103-GE the Schedule of Quantities for the Valves and Fittings on the approach and departure sides of the crossing needs review:
• Is (02) DN200 AVK FL-FL Gate Valve required? If so should it be FL-FL or SC-SC?
• Is (03) 01/71 W/ 2/ AVK FL-FL Support Bushes meant to include 2 x 200mm SVs?
Or perhaps 1 x 250mm and 1 x 200mm SVs?
6. Is it possible to have an extension of the closing time for tender submission? of at least 2 days
Kind Regards,
Answered on 27/Jan/2026 12:34 PM
:
Good afternoon,
Thank you for your enquiries. Council confirms:
1. Please quote on the basis of the pipeline being installed as per the plans. Also note that a Scour Valve is located nearby. Should other work be required this will considered as a Variation under Contract.
2. Please price on the basis of a FH to be located as per the longitudinal section at CHN 4257.678. This will be used as a flushing hydrant given the Isolating SV nearby.
3. Please price on the basis of 2x110 SVs at the 110mm Tee and 3x250 SVs on the 250mm Tee.
4. Please price on the basis of all fittings in Detail ‘D’ for the FH being 200mm (Item Numbers 02 and 03)
5.
Council confirms FL-FL.
AVK Series 01/71 w/2 is a gate valve designed for PE Pipes PN16. Support bushes and anchor blocks were removed for clarity. Please price for Item Number 03 2xDN250
6. Council is unable to extend the tender period.
Kind regards
CGRC
