Question:
Hi Rohan,

May I clarify with you whether any part of this tender is a therapeutic group tender?

For example: Corticosteroid nasal sprays, will this be a therapeutic group tender? For example, if awarded, hospitals cannot purchase non-awarded corticosteroid nasal products?

Answered on 27/Nov/2025 05:45 PM:

In general, Queensland Health (QH) sole awards tender offers based on the presentation (ie. molecule strength and dosage form).

However, QH reserves the right to sole award based on the therapeutic group/class or indication depending on the relative substitutability of molecules and products.

The current Queensland Health List of Approved Medicines (LAM) provides a guide to current molecules and presentations that are approved for use within QH. Some of these are approved at the presentation level and some at the therapeutic group level.

Where a particular molecule, strength and dosage form is not approved, it usually means there is a LAM approved therapeutic group substitute.

Depending on attractiveness of an offer and the clinical substitutability, Queensland Health Medicines Advisory Committee (QHMAC) may decide to alter the LAM and sole award at the therapeutic group level in favour of particular offer.

Hope this helps, feel free to contact me by phone if you require further explanation.

Question:
Dear Team,

Can you please confirm if the usage for Nystatin 100,000U in 1mL Oral Drop is 307 packs per year? Recently, we received request from QLD to order 1500 packs under one single PO. In addition, this product is called under the tender 109936-5 as well. Can you please advise how the usage be split between these two tenders?

Thank you.

Jo Cai

Answered on 27/Nov/2025 06:20 PM:

Hi Jo,

You are quite correct, there was an error on the estimated annual requirement (EAR) of Nystatin 100,000U/ml oral drops, 24ml bottles.

The corrected EAR is 17,012 bottles / year.

We have extended the tender open period until 14th of December 2025 (10pm) to allow all suppliers the opportuinity to submit or revise their offer.

Apologies and thanks for picking this up.

Question:
Hi Rohan

Can you please let me know if I’m able to submit the tender request without the ASIC report for the moment? I’m still waiting to receive it?

Kind regards

Michael Leonard

Answered on 27/Nov/2025 06:06 PM:

Hi Michael,

That's fine but please ensure this information is supplied ASAP as it will prevent potential award if not supplied well before the finish of the evaluation phase.

Kind regards,

Rohan Brennan

Updates made to this Request
27/Nov/2025 05:30 PM
Dear supplier,

Due to the transition from QTenders to VendorPanel, many vendors were unfamiliar or had issues submitting offers via the VendorPanel website.

Therefore, we have extended the tender close date to the 14th of December 2025 - 10pm.

Please ensure your offers are submitted by this date - there will be no further extensions.

Kind regards,

Rohan Brennan
