What the buyer is requesting
Details
Council is seeking suitably qualified contractors to provide their best quotes to carry out the Council Heavy Patch program 2024/2025.

The contractor is to provide all necessary equipment, traffic controls, operators, gravel, stabilant and 14/7 Double/Double C240 seal or S45R seal on Urban Streets, as per Council approval.

Heavy patches are to be compacted to the equivalent of 100% standard compaction, graded to existing surface levels, shoulder and drain cleaning where required, sealed to match existing road width and existing line marking to be reinstated along with the relevant test results taken and submitted for Council records.

Hi There,

Can council please advise:

1. The type of gravel material to be used in overlay?

2. If a KLM file of stockpile locations can be provided?

3. If a tender meeting will be held?

1. DGB20 (Roadbase) is to be used for all overlays.

2. Council has multiple stockpile locations for each of these roads which can be used during construction. The exact location and its details shall be provided to the successful contractor depending on the priority of works required. For pricing purposes, tenders can consider the average distance between the extents of the road limits or may provide the rates of haulage as a provisional sum item.

3. A tender meeting will not be held.

After scoping the patches, we have noticed other patches not listed within these areas (these are also within reseal marks). Will these additional patches be stabilised as well?

Council reserves the right to make reasonable alterations/adjustments to the location, details and/or scope of the proposed works in consultation with the selected Contractor, without the need for recalling for quotations if a suitable agreement can be reached. Any works that have been agreed by both parties after due consultations made in this regard will not be construed as a Variation
