Kempsey Shire is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, which boasts around 15,000 hectares of national parks and 79 kilometres of pristine coastline, supporting an amazing variety of plants and wildlife. Situated on the banks of the Macleay river is our main town, Kempsey. This is a thriving regional centre with a rich indigenous heritage and has the largest residential population in the shire. It is home to key services and resources for our Shire and to Council’s headquarters.

Council is seeking Submissions from appropriately qualified and experienced Tenderers for the construction of Waste Management Centre Cell 5, including all civil, geotechnical, environmental protection and associated works required to deliver the new landfill cell.

Successful delivery of the project requires:

- Completion of Cell 5 in accordance with approved design, statutory requirements, contract documentation and contract timeframe

- Safe construction with effective WHS management and environmental controls.

- Delivery within approved budget and program.

- Integration of leachate, groundwater, drainage and environmental protection systems.

- A constructed asset capable of operational use and regulatory compliance.
