Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council is located in the heart of the business area of its' community and has approximately 76 employees, both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous.

The Councillors' future vision for Woorabinda, is that it becomes self-sustainable and self-managed; leading to the main focus on training.

The works include the construction of a new concrete pavement, a new wash bay area and beach pit construction in the existing Woorabinda Shire Council Workshop on 119 Carbibe Street ( 119SP268500). The Contractor shall undertake all construction works associated with the proposed civil infrastructure, including:

• Civil Earthworks

• Drainage and Gutter Upgrades

• Concrete Pavements and Hardstands

• Beach Pit Facility

• Hydraulic and Wash Bay Systems

The contract includes provisional sum items which are to be priced but their execution is to be directed by the client. Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council (the Principal) may either provide these directly or reserve the right to negotiate their provision with the Main Contractor as part of the Works Under Contract (WUC).

• Fencing and Access Control Works (Provisional Sums)

The intent is to engage a suitably qualified contractor to deliver high-quality work safely around daily use (which is an operational depot), that responds to operational needs, and relevant regulatory and safety standards. Works are to be coordinated to allow the depot workshop to remain operational. Works are to be completed in accordance with approved design documentation, applicable guidelines, and best-practice construction methods. The depot will remain operational throughout the construction period. The Contractor shall plan and stage the works to ensure minimal or uninterrupted access to workshops, plant storage areas and operational activities, whilst maintaining a safe working environment for Council staff and visitors.
