The Sale by Tender is for the purchase of 38 Morgan Street, Mount Morgan from Council. Lot 18 on Crown Plan RN1545, Title Reference 30129118.

The Land is approximately 240m2. The property is a vacant commercial building and zoned Local Centre.

The building, formerly the Commonwealth Bank at Mount Morgan, was constructed in 1913 as the Government Savings Bank, and became a branch of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in 1921. The bank closed in 1998 and has since been used for other ad hoc storage purposes.

On page 3 of the tender submission documents, you ask for a deposit value. Do you have a percentage of tendered value which is typically used? There is no Deposit Value listed on your supplied Sale Contract.

No minimum has been provided. The tenderer must advise Council their proposed deposit amount.

Good afternoon are you able to give the amount of rates this building will charged. It has no Ratable value or Unimproved value on the rates notice you have supplied. Many normal commercial building rates charges are also not included with your supplied rates notice. Thank you.

Because it’s council owned, the State Valuation Services do not provide a UCV. The State does this if it’s transferred from Council ownership. Council cannot provided the amount that the General Rates will be.
