What the buyer is requesting
Details
Balonne Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified tenderers for appointment as a pre-qualified supplier of Wet Plant Hire and Minor Works and/or & Dry Plant Hire.
Tenderers must, where prompted in the Response Schedules identify the services in respect of which they are submitting a Tender.
Council refers to condition 18 in the Dry Hire Contract, and clause 21 of the Wet Hire Contract, identified at Part 4 of this Request for Tender. Tenderers should note that Tenderers may be appointed to the register of pre-qualified suppliers, but Council does not intend to engage Suppliers if they are not in compliance with the law (including town planning requirements) and that the Supplier may be in breach of the contract to the extent that the Supplier is not compliant.

Question
:
Hi
Could Council please confirm the scope of plant/equipment they are interested in hiring (wet and dry) from the pre-qualified suppliers?
Thanks
Answered on 22/May/2026 01:21 PM
:
Suppliers are encouraged to nominate their full range of available plant and equipment, whether or not it is immediately required
22/May/2026 11:35 AM
Question
:
Good morning,
Is there a different version of pricing schedule for supplier with over 1000 equipment for dry hires?
Thank you
Kind regards,
Answered on 08/Jun/2026 01:23 PM
:
Council will accept pricing schedule in your own format. Ensure you note dry hire only.

Question
:
The pricing template supplied appears to be structured around wet hire and fuel band adjustments. We operate strictly on a dry hire model (machines supplied full fuel, returned full fuel, no operator, no fuel charging).
Can you confirm how dry hire suppliers are intended to complete this form, and where standard daily/weekly/monthly dry hire rates should be entered, or whether a revised template is available?

Question
:
As our growing fleet now exceeds five thousand (5,000) assets across forty-four (44) asset categories, including multiple sizes within each category, it is not practical for us to complete a separate form for every individual item of plant, including detailed specifications and pricing.
Additionally, the size and variety of our fleet also makes completing the Excel pricing format provided quite difficult. As we are a dry hire provider, would Council be open to accepting our submission in our own format instead? We believe this would allow us to present our plant and equipment information in a much clearer and more efficient way.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Question
:
Hello, Pages that require a signature does the entire document need to be printed and scanned back in or just the pages for singing, is there a docusign option?
Answered on 03/Jun/2026 04:33 PM
:
It is preferred that the whole document is attached.
04/Jun/2026 08:49 AM
Question
:
ON THE PRICING SCHEDULE DO WE JUST PUT REFER TO ATTACHMENT?
ALSO WHERE DO WE INCLUDE A FUEL LEVY PERCENTAGE IF APPLICABLE?
Answered on 08/Jun/2026 01:25 PM
:
Council will accept pricing schedule in your own format so attachment are OK.
Providing hourly rates per fuel price bracket eliminates the need for a fuel price levee.

Question
:
How is the fuel price range going to be monitored by the Balonne Shire Council when some businesses purchase fuel in bulk while others purchase it daily from the bowser?
Answered on 08/Jun/2026 01:25 PM
:
Balonne Shire Council will use the St George Lowes advertised price each Monday morning to select the appropriate fuel price bracket. This will be applied to work performed in the following week.

Question
:
As this is a refresh, could you please confirm the existing contract number of which suppliers may already be registered under? Thanks

Question
:
Can you please confirm whether the new price schedule will serve as the maximum cap for our pricing only? Additionally, will individual works continue to be tendered separately, allowing contractors to submit pricing on a job-by-job basis, provided the quoted price does not exceed the rates outlined in the new price schedule?
Answered on 08/Jun/2026 03:39 PM
:
Yes, the price submitted will be considered as your maximum price. Council reserves the right to tender for large projects separately.
