• Project Overview

Tamworth Regional Council invites qualified contractors to submit quotations for the supply and installation of four (4) shade sails across three playground locations. This procurement covers the shade sails only; existing posts and frames from previous installations are already in place and will be reused.

• Scope of Works

1. Memory Park, Kootingal

• Type: Hip Shade Sail

• Approximate Coverage Area: 120m²

• Installation Notes: Existing posts and frame to be reused. Contractor to verify dimensions and tensioning requirements.

2. Hyman Park, Tamworth

• Type: Hip Shade Sail

• Approximate Coverage Area: 86m²

• Installation Notes: Existing posts and frame to be reused. Contractor to ensure compatibility with new sail.

3. Warrah Drive Park, Calala

• Type: Hypar Shade Sails (2 units)

o Unit 1: Approx. 35m²

o Unit 2: Approx. 40m²

• Installation Notes: Two separate sails to be installed using existing post configurations. Contractor to assess layout and provide appropriate sail shapes and tensioning.

• Requirements:

• All shade sails must be fabricated using high-quality UV-stabilised fabric suitable for Australian outdoor conditions.

• Fabric must meet relevant Australian Standards for tensile strength, fire resistance, and UV protection.

• Contractor must conduct site inspections prior to fabrication to confirm measurements and post/frame integrity.

• Installation must be completed with appropriate tensioning hardware and edge reinforcement.

• All works must comply with TRC safety and quality standards.

• Deliverables

• Supply of four (4) shade sails as specified.

• Installation of sails using existing infrastructure.

• Final inspection and certification of installation.

• Warranty documentation for materials and workmanship.
