Q1. Can you provide more detailed usage information for each site so transport and volumes can be better understood and considered in our offer?
Response:
TAFE Queensland has provided the best available information to support suppliers in preparing their offers. The volumes included within the procurement documentation are indicative only and have been developed for evaluation purposes.
Please refer to Attachment A – Specification and Attachment C – Linen Hire & Laundry Pricing List (Pricing Scenario tab) for indicative demand information.
As outlined in the Specification, service demand varies by campus and is influenced by factors such as student enrolments, training schedules, practical class delivery, events, facility utilisation, and seasonal activity. Accordingly, TAFE Queensland is unable to provide guaranteed site-specific usage volumes. Suppliers should base their offers on their capacity to service nominated locations and accommodate fluctuations in demand throughout the contract term.
The current estimated demand across the TAFE Queensland network is approximately 2,750 to 4,300 items per week; however, actual volumes may be higher or lower depending on operational requirements.
Q2. With delivery to a campus where multiple areas are using the linen service, is it expected that the provider deliver to each user area or will delivery be to one central point at the campus and collected from this staging area by users?
Response:
For the purposes of tender evaluation, suppliers should assume that delivery and collection will occur at a single nominated delivery point within each campus.
Specific delivery arrangements may vary between campuses and service areas and will be confirmed during implementation with the successful supplier(s). Suppliers may identify any assumptions, site requirements, or alternative service delivery approaches within their offer submission.
Q3. Can you clarify what contract term you are seeking to implement with the successful provider, e.g. 1, 2 or 3 years?
Response:
The contract term is stated in both the Invitation to Offer and Attachment A – Specification. The proposed Standing Offer Arrangement term is three (3) years, with an option for TAFE Queensland to extend the arrangement by up to two (2) additional periods of twelve (12) months each, at TAFE Queensland's discretion. The maximum potential term is therefore five (5) years.
