Kempsey Shire is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, which boasts around 15,000 hectares of national parks and 79 kilometres of pristine coastline, supporting an amazing variety of plants and wildlife. Situated on the banks of the Macleay river is our main town, Kempsey. This is a thriving regional centre with a rich indigenous heritage and has the largest residential population in the shire. It is home to key services and resources for our Shire and to Council’s headquarters.

Kempsey Shire Council is seeking submission from appropriately qualified and experienced suppliers for the design, supply and installation of permanent power supplies for the Stuarts Point STP, Fishermans Reach Flushing Station and Grassy Head Pump Station.

Council has prepared preliminary concept designs and load calculations for each site. Construction works on the Stuarts Point STP are scheduled to commence in February 2027. Temporary power supplied by Council for early STP construction, however timely delivery of the permanent power supply is required to minimise cost and improve reliability associated with temporary generator power supplies.

A mandatory pre-tender briefing and site inspection is held on Tuesday 03 November 2026, starting 11.00am.

This is held at the STP Site, corner of Fisherman Reach Road and Tea Tree Trail, 700m south of 19th Avenue.
