The Mayor and councillors work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and staff to deliver a range of plans and strategies that guide the delivery of major projects across the region, and council’s capital works program. Tenders are invited for from interested parties to establish a café within the Aura Lagoon and Parklands Caloundra South precinct. Operations will commence following execution of the lease, and as soon as the lease area has been accepted by Council for Occupation. This is currently anticipated for April 2027.

The lettable area is leased as a cold shell, with the successful lessee require to undertake all internal design and fit-out obligations.

- Kiosk Area- 50m2

- Outdoor seating area - to be confirmed once construction completed and Survey plan completed.

The successful operator is required to provide café services that are reflective of the unique lagoon environment.

Café services will be required to conform as follows:

- Seven (7) day a week operation;

- Operations during daylight hours;

- Substantial Dine in and take away menu options;

- Presents a menu that caters to varying dietary requirements;

- An operation that looks to utilise sustainable practices in its food preparation, use and waste processes; and

- Menu selection and prices that suits the broad demographics of visitors to the lagoon precinct.

Following selection of a preferred Respondent, Council intends to enter into a Heads of Agreement prior to finalisation of the Lease Agreement. Execution of the Heads of Agreement will be a mandatory requirement of the procurement process and respondents should ensure they have the necessary authority and resources available to negotiate and execute the Heads of Agreement within the timeframe nominated by Council.
