The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) wishes to invite qualified suppliers to provide a Security Contractor to deliver two scopes of work:

Separable Portion 1: CCTV audit and Upgrade at Sippy Downs Campus

- Identified analogue cameras for replacement with new IP-based cameras and/or strategically replacing cameras to improve security coverage.

Separable Portion 2: Electronic Security Systems Corrective Maintenance (Agreement is for a fixed three (3) year term with the option of 2 x 1-year extension periods).

- This Contract defines the goods, services, performance expectations and compliance obligations required to maintain the reliability, safety and operational integrity of UniSC’s security infrastructure. The systems covered include the Gallagher Electronic Access Control System, Avigilon field devices, Jacques intercom and Emergency Call Point (ECP) systems and Aperio wireless locking hardware and hubs.

Question:
Part A: Can you confirm that we are to supply a UPS as noted in Word Document Template A4 Page 4. If UniSC IT provides the Network switch, then should it be up to the Security vendor to supply the UPS. If the security vendor is to supply the UPS, we would need to know the wattage of the network switch that is to be backed up so we can calculate the correct UPS size for backup of 2 hours.

Part B: If UniSC is providing the network switch then why do we need to allow for Electrical Works as stated on page 4 “All Electrical Works”

Part A response:

The chosen vendor will not be responsible for supply or ongoing maintenance of UPS connected to Network switches. UPS will be supply and maintained by UniSC CD&S.

Part B response:

“All Electrical Works” relate to extra low voltage (EVL) works that the technicians will be preforming. This is confirming that the vendor will be responsible for their wiring and any damage that might be incurred if something is wired incorrectly. If there is any Low Voltage (LV) works that need to be completed. The vendor is to advise UniSC of what works need to be completed and UniSC will arrange for a licensed electrician to complete the works.

Please note:

Whilst UniSC require the existing fields be filled out as a mandatory requirement for a compliant submission, suppliers are able to include any additional columns throughout the spreadsheet that communicate their price, discounts, margins or additional commercial information that would support their response. Please note additional 'free text' information including scope optimisation or value add can be captured in tab 5. 'Assumptions' or 6. 'Value Add'.
