Question:
1. Previous tenders submitted to QFD have resulted in the tender process being terminated. This has, at times, occurred a significant time after submission. While we understand that budgetary and operational matters may change, the amount of work required to deliver a professional and thorough submission involves a large amount of time and resources. Can you assure that a successful bidder will be announced within the given timeframes for evaluation and the contract being awarded?

Answered on 09/Sep/2025 03:21 PM:

Dear Supplier(s):

Thank you for your query. The Bulk Water Tanker Tender is a significant part of the Fleet Program for the Rural Fire Service Queensland, and the department will make every endeavour to meet the timeframes stipulated in the tender documents.

We cannot make any guarantees and it is important that we don’t state anything that would undermine the terms and conditions of the tender process including our rights to terminate and change the approach at any time.

Thank you for your understanding and looking forward to receiving your submissions.

Question:
Hi QFD Procurement Team,

Re: VP452536

Would you please clarify if this request is for the minimum supply of 10 (Ten) or 7 (seven) Bulk Water Tankers?

There is differing information throughout the tender package.

Thank you.

Answered on 08/Sep/2025 02:20 PM:

Hi Jason,

Duly noticed the issue. The tender was originally planned for a quantity of minimum 10, but QFD decided to reduce it to minimum 7. At the time of market release, QFD was not able to amend the name. The name is now updated by Vendor Panel Customer Support team.

Please refer to the ITO tender documents to submit your offer.

Kind Regards,

Mabel

Question:
Hi QFD Team,

Could you please confirm the approved or preferred brands for emergency response lighting and sirens for this tender?

In addition, there is no reference to a preferred control panel. Will QFD be continuing with the previous SLIC pad style, or is there scope to consider alternative approved switch panels currently in use with other agencies in Queensland and NSW?

Answered on 15/Sep/2025 03:44 PM:

Dear Valued Suppliers,

QFD does not have any approved or preferred brands for emergency lighting and sirens, as it will potentially prevents suppliers in the market place from offering their products to QFD in the tender process.

QFD would like the market to advise through the tender submission what is new and innovative, whilst ensuring the offered products meet all the functional requirements and standards as outlined within the supplied specifications.

To assist with visual representation. Is QFD able to share and upload photos of the most recent vehicles of this specification?

Answered on 24/Sep/2025 09:48 AM:

Dear Valued Suppliers,

Sorry we will not be able to provide answers to this question as the question time was already closed on Friday 19/09/2025.

QFD is seeking innovative products and solutions to meet our tender specification requirements.

Question:
The OEMs have now committed to provide answers to remaining technical questions within 48 hours.

A one week extension would allow us to incorporate this information into our offer.

Thank you

Answered on 30/Sep/2025 03:24 PM:

Dear Valued Suppliers,

Please be noted QFD granted one week extension for this tender submission. The closing date is now amended at 2pm Friday, 10th of October.

Please ensure your offer is complete and meet all the submission requirements.
