Details
Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers and contractors for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a new inlet screen and screw wash press at the Narrung Street Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
This tender is divided into two parts:
• Part A: Supply of new drum screen and screw wash press.
• Part B: Installation and commissioning of the supplied equipment.
Council reserves the right to award each part separately or to a single contractor based on overall value for money, experience, and capability.

The design parameters for Inlet Screen Design Parameters are as per below:
- Maximum Design Flow: 395 L/sec
- Channel Width: 1,450 mm
- Channel Depth: 1,450 mm
- Screen Aperture: 3.0 mm (Wedgewire or holes)
- Maximum Solids Content: 250–400 mg/L

- Aperture gap size required?
- TSS data (if available)
- Type of screenings in the flow? Do you see a lot of large objects or rags?
- Material of construction: SS304 or SS316?
- Any photos you have of the existing installation would be useful too

A: Either is acceptable
Q: Aperture gap size required?
A: 3mm
Q: TSS data (if available)
A: 250-400 mg/l
Q: Type of screenings in the flow? Do you see a lot of large objects or rags?
A: Typical inlet works, anything from McHappy meal toys to false teeth.
Q: Material of construction: SS304 or SS316?
A: Vendor to decide. Vendor can provide price for both with recommendation.
Q: Any photos you have of the existing installation would be useful too.
