The project involves the construction of the Pimpama Premium Waste and Recycling Centre Stage 2, including the permanent WRC facilities and associated civil, building, services and operational infrastructure, together with a new signalised intersection and site-access works. Both packages will be delivered by a single head contractor under an AS2124 Construct Only contract, with careful staging required to maintain existing operations and safely manage interfaces with adjoining facilities and road users.

Details
The Pimpama Premium Waste and Recycling Centre (WRC) - Stage 2 forms part of the City’s long-term waste infrastructure strategy to respond to population growth and increasing service demand in the northern Gold Coast. The project will provide a higher-capacity, modern facility to relieve pressure on the existing waste and recycling network, particularly the Helensvale WRC, while improving customer experience and resource recovery outcomes.
